Leah Rose Fisher is a New York City based singer, voice teacher, and performing artist. She attended New York University where she graduated with a Masters in Vocal Performance in Classical Voice and an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy. She was honored to receive the 2013 NYU Vocal Pedagogy Award in recognition of outstanding achievement in vocal pedagogy. She currently studies in the studio of Dr. Brian Gill. Leah received a B.A. in Music and a B.A. in French at Centenary College of Louisiana where she studied in the voice studio of Dr. Gale Odom.
Recently, Leah has been seen on stage in the New York City area in both the Hudson Theatre Ensemble's Children's Series Silly on Sixth! as well as in the Classic Holiday Show for the past two seasons at The Landmark Loew's Theatre in Jersey City. Some of Leah's favorite roles with Silly on Sixth! include Cinderella in Cinderella! Cinderella! and Princess Megan in The Princess Finds a Way.
When not on stage, Leah can be found in both the recording studio and in film! She is excited to portray the role of Queen Augustine in Apostolic Productions' upcoming film Saint Thaddeus: The Legend of the Shroud! She was also honored to compose and perform the theme song for the movie! In the recording studio, Leah is currently working on her upcoming album, set to release in the Spring of 2018! She has also been blessed to sing backup vocals for some amazing artists, including classical Indian artist Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon and Christian rap artist Harmini. She looks forward to more opportunities to collaborate as well as to make her own music.
Leah was blessed to be a participant in the SHINE - Winter 2015 event, which is a part of AMTC - Actors, Models, and Talent for Christ!  It took place in Orlando, FL at the Gaylord Palms Resort. She was honored to receive 2nd place in the Overall Adult Singer Category after having been selected as a Finalist to sing in the Talent Finale.
In the summer of 2014, Leah sang in the Franco-American Vocal Academy's summer opera training program in France. They began with a concert performed in Paris as well as recitals sung in various cities across the south of the country. Followed by her portrayal of the role of Leœna in Jacques Offenbach's opera La belle Hélène, which was performed in August 2014 in Thiviers, France and at Théâtre Le Palace in Périgueux, France!
In 2013, Leah sang as part of the choir for Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon for the opening of the Smithsonian Exhibit - Yoga: The Art of Transformation, at the NPR Headquarters in Washington D.C. She also sang the National Anthem in Atlantic City for the New Jersey Credit Union League's Annual Meeting.
Previously, she was seen in NYU Steinhardt's study of scenes entitled A Night at the Opera. She was seen as Mademoiselle Silberklang in the trio from W.A. Mozart's Der Schauspieldirektor. She portrayed Mabel in "Poor Wand'ring One" from Gilbert & Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance. And she was Alexandra in the "Rain Quartet" from Marc Blitzstein's opera Regina. Other previous roles include Myrtle in NYU Steinhardt's production of Street Scene and Aoife in the new opera work Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner by Zachary Redler and Sara Cooper, also performed at NYU.
Some of her favorite roles include the Princess in L'enfant et les sortilèges and Lily in The Secret Garden. She has performance experience as the soprano soloist in Mozart's Requiem and chorus work with the Shreveport Opera in Don Giovanni, La Bohème, and Carousel.
